
Meet Valerie Hunt, 7th & 8th grade teacher at Bowman Hills School.
With a passion for learning, Mrs. Hunt enjoys studying and teaching about and in creation, as it reveals the Creator. Her goas as a teacher is to instill in the hearts of her students a love for God and all that He has made.
Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, she began teaching grades 7-8 at Bowman Hills over 30 years ago. She enhanced her teaching with a Master’s degree in Outdoor Education, demonstrating her commitment to holistic and experiential learning.
One of her guiding scriptures in Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” This verse reflects her deep faith and her commitment to God. She encourages students in their relationship with God and the empowering knowledge that “The task ahead of you is never as great as the power behind you” when you place your trust in God and seek Him first.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Hunt enjoys time with her family and likes staying active and creative. Hiking and biking connect her with nature and God, while playing games and time with family bring her joy and memories to cherish. Painting, reading, writing, and playing music, hone talents she can share. Her love of rollercoasters, sports, adventures, puns, and laughter allow her to inspire her students with a sense of fun and wonder.
With her long commitment and dedication at Bowman Hills School, Mrs. Hunt has left an indelible mark on our institution. Her passion for teaching, unwavering faith, and diverse interests make her a cherished and invaluable part of our school community.
