Meet Heidi Matthews, Kindergarten teacher of Bowman Hills School
Hi! I’m Heidi, and I’m so excited to be part of the Bowman Hills School family. As a mother of three and a Christ-centered educator, I believe that teaching is more than academics — it’s about nurturing hearts, building character, and pointing young minds toward Jesus. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Literacy from Southern Adventist University, and I’m passionate about helping students grow both spiritually and academically.One of my favorite quotes is by Corrie Ten Boom: “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” That truth has guided me through life’s many seasons. I’ve always been inspired by Joseph in the Bible — his unwavering faith through every challenge reminds me of God’s constant faithfulness. My life verse is Isaiah 41:10, a daily reminder that I never walk alone.I love the color blue, good food, heartfelt conversations, and time with my family. I feel so blessed to be here and look forward to a wonderful year growing and learning together.
