The vision of Bowman Hills School is to provide a broad, comprehensive, educational experience that encourages spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth; to prepare students for further education and service, and equip them to embrace God’s purpose for their lives. Bowman Hills School is leading students into:
Knowing Jesus as “the author and finisher of our faith,” Hebrews 12:2
Growing in “wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man,” Luke 2:52
Going and “serving one another in love.” Galatians 5:13
Knowing, Growing, Going
Bowman Hills School provides a developmentally-appropriate PreK classroom for children who are 4 years old by August 15 of the year entering. We also accept 5 year olds into our PreK program for those children who are needing the gift of time before advancing into Kindergarten. Our teacher, Mrs. Pat Reese, incorporates hands-on learning in the great outdoors on a daily basis. These are very formative years and you will see your child thrive in this program. By the end of the year, the children will be well-prepared to succeed in the years to come.
Bowman Hills School believes that fine art instruction enhances learning in all other areas and we provide multiple opportunities for students to use their gifts and talents. Beginning in 4th grade, students are placed in our “beginner band” program. It is here they will learn basic music theory, and are given the opportunity to begin learning to play a band instrument. Our “concert band” is exceptional and student members receive a thirty minute private lesson each week. Aside from playing many local venues throughout the year, the concert band celebrates their accomplishments by taking a tour in the spring. In the past, we have played at Busch Gardens, Epcot, Dollywood, and the Ryman Auditorium, just to name a few. Our band students graduate with a love of music and are well prepared to continue sharing their talent.
